do you have the PSP on?
hook up the usb cable
then in settings(on the PSP)
click USB Connection

hope that helps

it doesn\'t come with software. if you\'re using the usb cable it should just recognize it as an external device. when i had it i only used it wirelessly.

The reason you are getting that Tommy is because your pc isn\'t recognizing it. Usually when you buy a media device like that or an iPod it usually comes with a disk. The disk has the appropriate drivers that would make the computer to recognize that the PSP is connected. Without the drivers the PSP is not going to run on your computer properly but I am not 100% sure as to whether or not if the PSP comes with this disk in the first place. Also make sure your PSP is in USB connect mode as well! If not then the PSP will not even recognize its hooked up to your pc. Another problem could be if you don\'t have the right USB ports which I highly doubt but if your running on an old computer it might not have USB 2.0 make sure you have that, just ruling out all possibilities here. You also might want to read this here: http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_get_...y_sony_psp.html Hope that helps, if not I will check to see if I can find out a way to get your comp to recognize it.

Krazedkilla is right, the problem is you probably just need the drivers. Goto CNET.com if I recall they had some videos telling you how to load shit onto your psp and telling you the best free programs for it. My usb cord came with a disc with software and drivers but the free stuff will probably do the same thing. Is this a new memory card or an old memory card? .
