Adding A Zipper Or Velcro To Mask

I\'ve never done this before, but from the pictures of masks I have seen it looks like a very nice little feature to add. Especially since most masks that I do have always "pop up" with nothing to hold the slit down. So I was wondering how to go about adding something like this- as far as the best materials to use and maybe a walkthrough on how to actually do it. Thanks.

zippers you can get white, about 6" long from a craft/fabric store, carefully Krazy-Glue them in the slit before you basecoat. Careful. You can make a mess and get your fingertips stuck to the mask. Also if you get any glue in the teeth of the zipper, you just screwed yourself. It\'s really hard to get unstuck and even if you do it\'ll always want to catch at that point.

as for velcro, just get some velcro.

Some of the guys on this forum send their masks to the "Mask Doctor" for a professional job.

You can also use liquid latex to stick either on, and it is then permanent.

yeah L.Latex works too, but it wont bond instantly and can make a huge mess. Unless you glue a little bit, come back in 30 minutes, glue a little bit, come back in 30 minutes, etc, etc,

Dreamland Productions was the first place I ever saw put zippers in masks and this was like 5 years ago. But he tried alot of different methods and the Krazy-Glue way that he taught me was, *he said* "what seemed to work best"

I doubt it takes a \'professional\' to glue in a zipper. Then again, after glueing 30+ zippers into a mask, wouldn\'t you kinda be one? Or do ya gotta glue 500+ ?
