The problem is with taking pix of your masks. You take the picture load it onto the computer and it looks nothing like it does in person. The paint scheme is no where close to what you see in person. I have turned off the flash and its still not looking like it should. My camera is just a simple Kodak Easyshare, 8.2 mega pixel. Another weird thing is, it doesnt always happen...i think when i use transparent paints, the camera is trying to pick up those colors, and when it does...it shows up looking shiny and almost white.
    Very annoying,

P.S. Maby its time for a new camera?

I have always had problems getting masks to look right in pics, outside is really the only way to even get a true idea, and even then it\'s not that close.

It might be your lighting set-up, try to get it lit from both sides. When i take my pics i have one lamp on each side about 1-2 feet away and up pointing at a downward angle (i use daylight bulbs which are a littel brighter). Also try the white balance setup, put a piece of paper or board in the setup with the lighting and set the white balance off the white paper and try that to see if it helps any.

Just take it outside, I would do a close up to get a shot of the details and yea its not the same as it is in in person. I have a similar camera as yours and I have to take a bunch of pictures to just get a few good ones.

Try different camera settings and like others have stated, use a variety of different lighting techniques.
I know what you mean for sure.lol I own a bunch of "whitey" and they may all seem like a bunch of white masks, but each piece takes a different set up to capture it\'s true beauty, ha ha!
    It\'s all in the lighting!
