My best friend is a big Transformers fan.  From G1 to present.  So I\'ve heard about this, and I know it is based on G1.  ALso, I forget where, but there is a picture of Optimus Prime in Truck form somewhere online.

TRANSFORMERS cast update

Tyrese Gibson, Rachael Taylor, and Amaury Nolasco joins Bernie Mac and Jon Voight in "Transformers".

Rachael Taylor and Amaury Nolasco will co-star in DreamWorks\' "Transformers" and Tyrese Gibson is in negotiations to star in the feature as well. Michael Bay is directing the live-action adaptation of the 1980s Hasbro toy line of giant robots that morph into cars, trucks, planes and ships.

They join Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox , Josh Duhamel, Jon Voight and Bernie Mac. Taylor will play Maggie Marconi, a codebreaker at a think tank. Nolasco and Gibson are Army officers.

Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Lorenzo di Bonaventura are producing. Steven Spielberg is executive producing. Hasbro\'s Brian Goldner also is executive producing.

oh my god!
i was such a huge transformers fan when i was a kid and still am!
i still have my copy of \'transformers the movie\' that was the animated one out years back, killer sound track and great story line.
DARE! still rocks!!

Transformers is just bada$$! Would love to see a Beast War\'s film as well. That show kicked all kinds of butt. Wazzzzz binattttor!
