I called my patina supplier and they are going to send me a bunch of free samples of their brown patinas that supposedly don't keep working after use and also create a dull surface. But once again. when I run out of my current stock, I'll be updating it again. I PRAY it works because I'm honestly tired of tweaking the templates. The entire glove is getting smaller. The fingers are shortening, the blades are shortening, and the backplate is shrinking. I hope to build a prototype using my newest templates within two weeks. I've come to the conclusion that the armature on every single Part 1 replica that I've made AND seen from others is simply too big. So, I've started from scratch and redesigned everything from the ground up. You may think this is insane, but grab a ruler or measuring tape and measure out 3 7/8". That's the length of the new blades on my next glove. Wait until you see it on the completed glove. I was shocked that the real original blades might actually have been around that length all along.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndMark, I'm excited about you scaling down the gloves. Everybody makes the part one (and gloves in general) WAY too big. I think it's often done to achieve the long skinny finger look while still being wearable to the average Joe. If you make the fingers the actual length, it's necessary to make the finger armature so skinny that most peoples' fingers would not even fit into them. Ken from frightstuff could barely fit a screen used part one middle finger armature around his pinky (without the leather glove)! Also, both Lou and Robert have made comments about the replicas being too large. It's actually caused me to stop buying replicas. When the blades are made too long, it just feels clumsy imo. I've owned two screen used gloves (one being a hero part 4 that I sold to Mike). I can tell you that its blades were not a hair over 4". In fact a couple of the blades were more like 3 7/8" However, when you see it by itself you'd swear the blades were at least 5" It's because the entire glove was scaled down. This includes the leather glove which was an old school size small wells lamont. I found some of the exact vintage gloves on ebay before I sold it.Btw, I'm glad you're becoming obsessed with minor details as opposed to just knocking them out quickly. Your gloves are looking amazing. Keep it up!

Hopefully that will fix itself soon.
