What would a remake be anyways-- basically another (potentially) cruddy sequel.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndI disagree. The first 3 films weren't bad at all and are favorites of mine. It was a pretty good trilogy while Universal had the rights. Once dimension snagged them, it kinda went downhill. I even enjoy Bride and Seed quite a bit, too. Just not as much as the previous films....As for "cruddy" sequels, I actually prefer Childs Play 2 to the original. I can think of plenty of other horror sequals that were much worse. At least 2 picked up from the previous film with a good plot and featured one of the main characters from the first. A lot of times, that doesnt happen.

Who said anything about improving? A remake these days is for one reason and that is to restart a franchise to spawn more sequels and of course make more money. It's a business and in that context remakes are a sure-fire profit and a pretty smart business venture. As for the CP sequels, I reckon we will have to agree to disagree. Part 2 was better than 3, but that's about all I will give it.
