Guys, I Need Some Serious Thought

Ok guys, here it is. I need all the ideas, feedback, sites, plans, everything that can help me construct STILTS. Yeah thats right. For a number of upcoming costume projects I want to do, I would like to be able to have some stilts. Now, I dont have the money to buy stilts from places like Creatur Crates, who have the most amazing spring stilts I\'ve ever seen, but too expensive for me . This is why I\'m coming to you guys if you guys have any info or ideas Ill post a few pictures of what I\'m talking about, not jus those straight clown stilts haha.

The all have roughly the same shape, I just dont have a definite idea and exactly what I could do...

I am a friend of Pete\'s & I am sure he won\'t get mad, I bet if he had time he would help you out to, super nice guy but very, very busy. I try to go see him whenever I can but that is rare nowadays. I remember watching him walk around on those things, he is amazing on them, I think he had a guy weld them for him, I can not remember. Email him & see if he can help you out, he might get back to you but like I said he is very busy. Best of luck on making these, they could be real fun.

drywall installers use stilts that I don\'t think are very expensive. I watch them walk around on those things all the time. They don\'t look as fancy as the pic you posted, but they\'d get the job done.

Hmm, thats a really good idea. I looked on ebay and it seems I could get some for cheap. New however are just as expensive as the spring stilts :blink: . I will definitely look into it, but also, anyone have any sort of knowledge on the type of design to build one. I could certainly make my own out of metal, just dont know the safe proportions. Anyway thanks a bunch! Oh and Bob, I e-mailed Pete and explained to him how I dont expect a response, but asked him about his stilts.
