Boots Question

since i know maskmakers deal with leather as they use it for straps for hockey masks , would there be any way to alter a pair of boots i have ? the ones in the pics are from New Rock and way too expensive . but i\'m looking for something like this done to mine and all thats really needed is to make the loops on the side and put the chains on . also i had another idea for them but i\'ll send the info about that part in PM if there\'s someone that thinks they can do this for me .

loops?? try going to walmart or whatever and buy childrens belts, great for hockey masks usually adult belts are too wide or you could mod and cut them or even dog collars you can rivet them, sew them and a coat of contact cement works great and is reccomended on leather try goth stores they have tonss like those wicked cheap if not mod a pair of army surplus 12\'\' boots (12\'\' or larger the length from bottom of foot up to the top of boot) the steel plates can be put on the fron of tread with sheet metal and chrome spraypaint (krylon) and screw them in the screws work great on rubber soles i make alot of bootlifts just by adding layers of leather will create the effect
