Straight from thedigitalbits.com" Paramount has just set a <b>Friday the 13th Uncut: Deluxe Edition </b>for release on Blu-ray Disc on 2/3. The release will also be available on DVD. Also coming on DVD that day are <b>Deluxe Editions of Friday the 13th, Part II and Friday the 13th, Part II 3-D </b>(we're working to determine whether there will be Blu-rays of those as well)."

This is a dream come true for me. I chickened out back in 83 and didn't go see this in the theatres, and I've always wanted to watch it in 3d. The bluray version is just icing on the cake!

    Rockin' good news! But why couldn't they make it a quadrilogy? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

I had to pick myself up off the floor after reading this. The possibilities here - and thinking way ahead to parts 6 and 7 being released Uncut! Sorry but the series ended for me at part 7.Most of us know that there was a lot more material cut from the later sequels as the MPAA (oh those damn soccer moms and dads! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"mad.gif\" /> ) clamped down more and more on the F13 films by the late 80s so we can expect to see all those famous scenes in the special features versions of the past hopefully spliced back into the films. But does anyone know how much material made it to the cutting room floor for the first 4 F13 films?I do hope that if/when they release Part 7 that we get an alternate version to watch where Tina's dad - in corpse form and not "fresh" - is included and not just as special features stand-alone scene. The movie was MEANT for the corpse version as the original.

Damn, I really gotta get a blu ray player. My dad just bought himself one a couple weeks ago along with his new TV, and loves the quality. I have so many dvds though, and really don't wanna buy doubles of what I already own...but these F13th's sound nice!

<i>"I chickened out back in 83 and didn't go see this in the theatres, and I've always wanted to watch it in 3d."</i>Every Friday the 13th without fail, a cinema not too far from me screens it at midnight in 3D. They usually get a good crowd, maybe 70 - 100 people. If you havent seen it in 3D, you havnt seen it!Just the opening title credit is worth the price of admission alone.

I would be great to see some of the 3-D classics from the 80's on dvd.The first 3-D movie that I seen as a kid was Jaws 3.
