My sister got me a 19" Sharp HDTV for my birthday and it arrived yesterday but one of the pixels is stuck. Anyone here know how to fix a stuck pixel on an HD LCD TV? I really don't want to have to pay $20 to send it back and replace it if I can avoid it.

the tapping method worked for me. I just made the screen completely black and then tapped it and it eventually "woke back up".take care,Tommy

If I tap the stuck pixel directly nothing.

massage the area where the stuck pixel is. this helps too. sometimes the crystals just get stuck in position. at least it's not dead lol.

Thanks auzorann and Homcidal. I actually have tired the messaging and tapping methods and I can get the pixel to temporaily become unstuck but it allways gets stuck again. But the fact that it does get unstuck makes me belive it is fixable. I just need to figure out how. If anyone has anymore advice, I'd really appreciate it.
