Hey guys,

Just checked out Hatchet II tonight and I have to say if you go into the movie open minded, fully knowing it's a comedic over the top slasher movie, you will fully enjoy yourself. Usually I hate gimmicky horror flicks, but something about this was just very enjoyable and beat the first one by miles. The acting wasn't great or anything, but doesn't put off the film like the first one did in my opinion.

    SPOILER:

Those who did see it, some of the deaths were absolutely terrific simply because of how laughable and over the top they were, my favorites being Tony Todd's where he was hacked in half and then literally pulled out of his skin as he was still alive. My second favorite being the very quick death of Shawn Ashmore, which was a very quick cameo, but enjoyable, where his face was hacked off as he turns to his friend to just see it slide off his face. Great stuff there, give the make up department a nod.

Do yourself a favor and check it out!

We went to the midnight premiere, I had read about some of the celebs showing up at screenings but I never thought Kane Hodder would show up, but low and behold, he busted right out of the second floor exit area and started telling us about the movie and he even stayed and watched some it but couldn't stay long cause he had some radio interviews to do the next day.

The movie itself was great, gorier, more up close and personal with Victor Crowley, loads more of Rev. Zombie, only negative thing I have to say about the movie, would have to be Danielle Harris and her over the top horrible acting, that accent she was trying to pull off sucked lol, and the guy who played her uncle did not do much better as far as the acting was concerned.

You definitely need to go see it, it explains more of the back story so it catches you up even if you did not see the first one.

I got to go and check this one out. The first one was cool. It was super cheesy but fun so I enjoyed it. Maybe I will go today, just got to find a theatre playing it now.
