You all must read this post very, very carefully. This post explains Mike and I and our current ordeal.
What has transpired in the last 10 or so hours is, quite simply, a <span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\'>HUGE</span> misunderstanding. Mike and I had a miscommunication, and instead of telling ME what his plans were, he told a friend of his. This friend distorted what Mike said and put assumptions into Mike\'s wording. These turned out to prove VERY untrue, and are partly the fault of the person who posted the thread. If he had listened to what Mike said and told everyone EXACTLY what was going on with the run instead of jumping to conclusions, this would not have happened the way it did. The horrible, confusing, retardedly annoying way that it did.
This all began when Mike started considering that $300 might be a bit too much for such a mask...I agreed with him, and we thought about lowering the price. Instead of asking me directly if I wouldn\'t mind changing the specs of the deal, he told a friend of his simply that he should "Go post a new thread on the HMA....I\'m not doing the part 6 masks with Ryan because it cost too much. Tell them the new price is $200." On top of that, this person not only MADE the post, but he made it seem as though Mike was telling me a subtle "Fuck off.", which he wasn\'t doing. In reality, he had another plan that DID involve me, but he wanted to wait until I was online again to explain it to me. Unfortunately, that isn\'t what happened.
About 5 minutes after this "friend" posted the new thread here on the HMA, I signed on to AIM and immediately got a message from a friend of mine asking "What\'s the deal with you and Mike?" Puzzled, I ask what he\'s talking about. He links me to the new thread, and I read it...Since this "friend" of Mike\'s decided to post the thread with his own special condescending tone to me, I assumed that Mike had finally gotten tired of working with me, and wanted to keep all the money for himself. I posted a very confused reply that basically asked "WTF is going on?! He can\'t cut me out of the deal. I provided this to him. Does someone know what\'s happening?"
Immediately after THAT, I contacted the "friend" who made the post which I replied to...I asked him what was going on, and he refused to tell me. I had another friend ask him, and he actually got a response. This "friend" of Mike\'s told me that Mike was "angry at me", and "was tired of me". Confused, I tried to ask around to find an answer why. Mike wasn\'t online (at this point, I thought he\'d blocked me) and I was getting pretty frustrated. I went to check the NIGHTOWL board, to see if Mike had posted anything there, and the only new post there was some guy totally ripping me apart, as if he was trying to speak for Mike. He told me that I was "controlling", that I "wanted too much money", and that I\'m a "know-it-all", among other things. Frustrated out of my mind, I pose the same question in that thread as I do in the new HMA post. I don\'t get answers...Just accusations from people who don\'t know what\'s going on, and see this as a chance to unload their bullshit on me. This complicated matters, and caused confusion all over the boards. A couple of friends began posting come backs "for me", to stand behind me and try to help me out. Unfortunately, these comebacks were nothing but direct insults, as they aired out their dirty laundry with Mike using this new development as a prime means to attack him.
Since Mike was still not around, people began assuming that since these people were taking up for me, that I must\'ve agreed with everything they said. This caused even MORE confusion, and idiots started taking sides based on which person they enjoyed better...Me or Mike. The whole NIGHTOWL thread then EXPLODED into this giant mass of name calling and accusation throwing, while I was STILL in the dark about what was going on, and was trying to find some answers to this dilemma without saying anything that might potentially come back to haunt me.
I asked a couple of my friends to stop making such pointless, wasted effort flame posts. It wasn\'t helping my cause and it made me look horrible. As luck (or not?) would have it, this is the very point where Mike got back online, and began reading through this endless stream of crap posed right at him. Troubled, he began to reason that I was trying to defame his name and cause trouble, and he responded with angry words and refused to talk to me about the status of our deal. This was because of a pre-existing "war" with the two friends of mine who were insulting Mike, and he mistakenly grouped me with them on the whim that all three of us were out to make him look bad. This began another 2 or 3 pages FULL of fighting, and an endless confusion the likes of which I have never experienced online before. I argued that Mike was a bad businessman for what he did to me, and that he can\'t just break a deal at the last second before you start to sell.
When in reality, that wasn\'t his plan at all.
He had neglected to tell me that he and I were still IN on the deal together, but that he wanted to go about the mask runs in a different way, but he wasn\'t quite certain of the way in which he wanted it to go.
As soon as I wake up this morning, Mike asks me if he can call me. I say yes, and we have a pretty good length conversation about the whole ordeal. He finds out that his assumptions were wrong, and I find that mine were, as well. We both agree that the only reason that ANY of this fighting had happened at ALL was that quite a large bunch of people felt the need to jump in and come to conclusions based on their own fucking opinions of both Mike and I. Without that interference, all of this probably wouldn\'t be nearly as messed up as it is now, and Mike and I could have come to an understanding ON OUR OWN, without having to sift through miles of hate-filled posts toward both of us from people who weren\'t even sure of what the hell was happening.
We are now at an understanding, and Mike did NOT con me. We are on quite friendly terms now. We\'re also still going through with the mask runs. They will be a lot cheaper than previously planned.
I ask anyone who reads this post to link anybody and everybody they can to it....At least, anyone you think would be affected by it. I am also posting this on the HMA and F13 forums in hopes that this whole giant, useless mess will be cleared up quickly.
