    Okay, here are some pics of my first attempts at fibreglass hockey masks.

    Pic 1 is a single resin and mesh layer that I made from a cast I did of a cheap store-bought plastic hockey mask. As you can see I had some mold release issues.

    Pic 2 and 3 is the same mold but this time using PVA as a release agent. This Hockey Mask came out beautiful. I loved it, just look at the thickness in pic 3. A sledgehammer couldn\'t break this Hockey Mask. However the sculpture isn\'t right, the shape is all wrong.

    Pic 4 was my first attempt at sculpting my own Hockey Mask, then casting it, then making a fibreglass positive from the cast. Everything was going fine until I pulled it from the mold and realized it wasn\'t symetrical.

    good luck to ya man...the only way to truly learn is from experimentation...just make sure you have fun doing it
