Well i've just listed a few Freddy related items on Ebay, link here:http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrpp...sassZrubbermugsNow for probably the most off topic sale here this year, lol...I thought i would post this here. I have a VERY rare fan made DVD of Disney's SONG OF THE SOUTH. This was made in 1941 and was the first film to use animation and live action blended together, the technique was pioneered by Walt Disney. SONG OF THE SOUTH was also the very first Diney classic to use live action sequences. The movie has been long banned and deleted by Disney themselves because they don't want to associate themselves with black slavery and child abduction, both are hinted at within this movie and although un-intentional at the time of filming, raises eyebrows in the self righteous Disney staff room today.Aside from the now deleted VHS release that was sold in the U.K. the only digital releases of this movie are the Chinese and Hong Kong laserdisc editions which were only ever produced in small amounts for rental only back in the 80's. The laserdiscs now fetch over $1000 each and are near impossible to locate. Only the version from Hong Kong is totally subtitle free, the Chinese one does have some burnt in subtitling which is non-removable.THIS FILM HAS NEVER SEEN AN OFFICIAL RELEASE IN THE U.S.This DVD was fan made and the print was taken directly from the Hong Kong laserdisc, the best available source. It features menu's and extra's including adverts for the film from the 70's and 80's. The movie itself is uncut and shows the full infamous Tar Baby scene which was cut from later releases on European VHS releases. 91 minutes movie run time. Including the extra's, it comes in at just under 100 minutes total run time.I've seen these sell on Ebay for over $50 and i originally bought 20 copies from a guy at a London film convention. I'm selling the 8 copies i have left for $20 each. When they are gone, that's it. Oh, just remembered my wife is keeping a copy too so that will leave 11 copies available now.THESE ARE NTSC FORMAT AND REGION FREE. SHOULD PLAY OK IN ALL U.S. AND MOST U.K. MACHINES.Here is an example of one of this film being sold on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DVD-WALT-DISNEY-S-SO...1QQcmdZViewItemThe copy i have available has MUCH better quality artwork than the one in that sale. Each DVD comes boxed and cellophane sealed with a high quality printed cover and artwork on the disc ( disc art is printed onto the dvd directly, it's not a sticker). It looks as close to authentic as possible and is a must for any Disney collector. Even the barcode on the cover is correct for this film and will scan as "Song Of The South"! Here is an example of how the dvd's look:Would make a great Xmas gift for a girlfriend, wife, mom or sister.
