Hey Gang, Very long tome no see.... Im working on modifying one of those chee-zee ass Costume chainsaws from Rubies.I know this may sound Whack, but i have been stopped way too many times and lost out on many a costume contest using a REAL chansawi guess they frown on such a thing LOL...So, my idea is to take this chee-zee cheap chainsaw expand it out to look like a real chansaw and add a handle and an amplified sound system so i can get it in to the clubs and partys.has anyone here attempted this? have you seen this done? I have a few ideas to get this going, but id like to see some ideas to go off of.

I've been eyeing the Neca one, and the animated one... Not sure which I'm gonna buy though. If I get the animated, its gonna have to get a repaint. I personally don't think expanding one of the cheap ones would be worth the time. I saw them in the store, and they are flat as a pancake, I'd honestly rather spend the extra couple of bucks and save the time... But thats just me, I'm lazy. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> eBay Item number: 350082674565 andeBay Item number: 140271801262 The Neca was about $100 cheaper 3 weeks ago. When I was looking at them, they ran $160.

What about taking the guts out of the toy and putting them in a real chainsaw?I have walked around with a chainsaw with no chain and have been fine. Pat

Pat<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndI have several reasons for doing this to that POS rubies chansaw,1: all i really have to do is un screw the thing put some pvc pipe spacers in then cover the gap.2: i can then fit an amplifier attached to a cheap mp3 player with chainsaw sounds.3:its super light !! a ton lighter than a real chansaw..... lugging my mac 10-10 arround for the halloween events made my arms hurt for a week!4: I can paint the hell out of anything! i can easily polish this turd into something sweet! any color any wethering style.5: if i can do it cheap and quick, i could sell some to youz guyz :-DIll keep you posted on my progress.......hardest part is finding a loud battery opperated amp...wish me luck!
