Alright I have this member wanting a mask from me so he sent out a check awhile ago and it never got here so he decided to cancel the check as it may have gotten lost . Then he sends out a money order which had a DC # and I checked it but the strange thing is , the PO says that it was delivered on the 28th but I haven't gotten anything <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /> . I then called the PO about it and he told me that all that can really be done is file a claim after 30 days . The only thing that he really could tell me is that he knows it has not been cashed yet but is somewhere . Have any of you had this kind of problem before and if so , how do you fix this crap ? I mean if they say that it has been delivered already then why would they deliver it again ? mike,

woah.. never heard of that before, but I can see where it's possible to fall through the cracks on mail that's not registered or certified. Have him file a claim, it's all that can be done at this point. There's no way to prove the money-order even entered a missing envelope. It's not your responsibility to insure that a payment reaches you; your obligation starts the moment you receive payment. Sorry about his luck, but that's entirely his problem at this point. That's the risk of sending out a Money Order... that someone will take it, and someone else will cash it, and it may not get to the recipient. Doesn't seem like much of a risk, but there it is, and by accepting a Money order for payment opens you to the risk that if someone else locally intercepts the MO, and is able to cash it, all evidence will show that you're trying to pull a fast one. The closest I came to that was the discovery that a neighborhood kid was raiding my mailbox, only taking all the good stuff I had ordered. I never had a problem with receiving paypal, and that's what I stick with, despite the extra costs. There's still some risk of empty envelopes on the receiving end of a shipment (either initial shipment, or receiving a return), but you'll have that risk no matter what you do.

Hey bro, this has happened in the past to me. It's usually delivered to the wrong house and marked as delievered. Typically a house that is one number off. It's most probable one of your neighbors or close PO box got it. I would knock on some doors and you'll probably find it.

well after the check didn't get here , i thought about him getting a MO as i've never had any problems with them in the past but now i still have nothing . i've even brought up the paypal method and he told me tha the had a bad experiance with them because of his bank account i guess . i just hope that i don't get a bad rep. form this and saying that i took money and cashed it when i never got it but how are they to know who really cashes it ? all i can really do is be as honest as i can be and if they don't feel comfortable dealing with me then feel free to ask around who has . that's pretty much the best i can do from my part . this is just why i HATE dealing with the post office and always prefer to use paypal with any and all transactions . mike,

While it is sad, it's not your problem. Anytime I send money through the mail in ANY form I register it with return receipt and insurance. If he/she did not do that then all you can do is send your condolences. The buyer can not blame you for anything because as long as they have the MO receipt they can check to see if it has been cashed.

In case anyone is wondering its me who wanted the mask. Just to make all clear Mike has been very cooperative and understanding about this. I'm going to the PO tomorrow and get them to track it. If it is not cashed within 30 days I can get a refund so that's what Ill do. Mike is great to deal with and when I get it straight I will buy from him. Like I say I don't like PayPal but if people will do western union or something like that I would be willing to do that. Sorry Mike for all the confusion.
