    Another make-up post...

I\'m trying to figure out how to get the color that the zombie has in this photograph (The one of the guy from "Night of the Living Dead" choking me). It\'s sort of a greyish, and more importantly, it\'s well done, hehe.

On my subject, I used liquid latex and then some dark purple around the eyes, and then added my white, pale color and topped it all off with a sort of undead-ish grey. But I still don\'t think it looks all that great. Any suggestions?

You can totally say it\'s not very good, because I\'m kind of there myself. I just need some direction, I guess Sad

To be honest my advice wouldn\'t be much help because it\'s been about 8 to 10 years since I\'ve touched make-up effects. I mainly work with metal, latex, or fibreglass now.

However, I did post some screen caps of Bill Heinzman as the first zombie in Night of the Living Dead if that\'ll help you with maybe some reference photos.

less purple maybe stipple some white over the purple to tone it down and blend together

What worked really well for me was to just take white and work it in well until the skin just looks paler as a base. Then go back with greys or purples and subtley highlight the temples and the eyes.

A lighter base works well for zombies, maybe not so stark white, mix a bit of grey into the base, then use darker grays for shading and some other colors, like some reds, purples etc.
You need to do some more shading to bring out the cheekbones, temples etc.
Yours looks good, with a bit more shading i think you will get the look you are after.
