Would This Be A Good Beginner Glove?

Hey guys...I really want to get our 10 year old Freddy fan a real glove. He has a plastic one and he\'s always making more out of wood/tape/whatever he can find. He\'s responsible enough to handle it and I know he would just love it! You think it would be a good 1st glove?

Also, do you recommend that I request soldering to be added or just leave it as-is?

Solderless Backplate (cleaner look; however solder can be applied upon request with order placement)

Okay, so you want solder added...where to?  The backplate?  The lower knuckle joints, too?

I was thinking backplate only, but I\'d like to know what you guys think.
