I know for a fact that i am not the only potter geek on here. What has everyone thought of the new film...as well as the new book?...please no spoilers for those still reading or planning on reading the book or seeing the film. I would just like overall reviews and critiques...Tommy

I actually really enjoyed the movie. They cut a lot out from the book, but still good. From what I remember, they don't get to Hogwarts until p200, but in the movie... about 15 minutes. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />

Hi, this is WHATSINTHEBOX?'s girlfriend, and when I saw this post, I HAD to reply. I was at the midnight release just to get my paws on Deathly Hallows and finished it about a day and a half later. I TREMENDOUSLY enjoyed the ending! I won't spoil it for anyone, but I found it to be well written for an ending of a great series. Sure, you can't tie ALL loose ends, but it was still great. The movies are awesome, too, and I really enjoyed Order of the Phoenix (yep, was there on opening night, 2 hours before showtime.. What's BOX doing with a geek like me, huh?). I think the movies just gets better and better. If you can get past the fact that they WILL and HAVE to cut out a sh*tload of stuff from the book to make the movie reasonably good, then the production is pretty good overall. What did/do you guys think about Snape? Friend or foe? Try not to answer with spoilers... lol.-Luna

I say "dork" like it's a good thing. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/geek.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":geek:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"geek.gif\" /> = <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Cool\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" /> -L

Tommy your not the only Harry Potter geek on here! Big fan of the books/movies ever since the first film came out. After seeing that, that is when I started reading the books, then it was all over. As for the Order of the Phoenix movie I liked it even though a lot was cut out. For some reason the ending scenes (battle) reminded me of Star Wars. As for the book I tried my hardest not to read it to quickly as I wanted it to last, but I wound up finishing it with 2 days. After that I just couldn't believe that it was all over. I enjoyed ever minute of it though, from start to finish. An Epic Ending to an Epic Series. Can't wait for the other two films. Oh and where did you get the Dobby from that thing is awesome!

The movie sucked for me. they left out a lot of stuff. A lot of the last fight in the 5th film was left out and the Dumbeldor's army scene might have well been a slideshow with classic rock music. The book was great but I felt the end was a bit corny. But it was really great all in all. Well worth whatever I paid. lol
