I love the original..part 2 was the night he came home....again...not really needed but entertaining. The rest of them aren't worth it to me....Except part 3...Season of the witch is a nostalgic CLASSIC! Great don post masks, and Tom Atkins!! Screams what halloween is all about to me...who cares if there was no Myers. That old excuse is usually for people who aren't real classic horror fans anyway

How could you not like the original? One of, if not the best horror movie of all time. Had very little gore and was truly suspenseful. A true example of how horror movies should still be made.

I think it really just has to do with the times and what you saw first. If you saw the classics and grew up with those long before you watched any of the new ones, then of course you're going to feel an attachment to them. I think the Halloween movies are OK. That's all. I watch them every now and then and I enjoy them when I do, but I can't watch them and love the hell out of them every time like I can with the F13s. As far as remakes go, I'm always open to them, I think it's exciting to see what new direction they're going to take the concept in; that's the point of a remake and it always puzzles me as to how many people out there (generally speaking, I mean) always want them to be basically frame-by-frame duplicates of the originals (which they say they love so much). The term RE-make never quite sinks in.I liked RZ's Halloween a lot. I liked the TCM remake and its prequel a lot. I can't wait for the F13 remake. So what? I admit it. Not pointing any fingers, but admitting you like the new stuff is a lot better than trying to go back and say you always loved the originals and absolutely despised the remakes. It's not fooling anyone.Certainly the original Halloween was a benchmark in the evolution of horror films, but it's still just a movie. Which means it can be loved, hated, viewed indifferently, or what-have-you.Just my 2 cents.I'm also 18 years old, which means I did not grow up with any of the originals, and it would be unjust of me to pretend I did. However, they were what I watched first. I watched the first Friday the 13th all the way up through the 8th before seeing Jason X or FvsJ, so I still love them. Just saying.

"Zombieween" is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's badly acted, badly written, badly paced, and badly cast. If MST3000 got a hold of it, I'd like to think they'd rip it a new asshole without a second thought - and I'd pay TWICE the admission to see that! The original Halloween blows everything about Zombieween into the spring breeze. Not just because "It came first!" or some SILLY reason like that, but because it's a very unique, memorable, well-made, and beautifully frightening movie that has stood the test of time for 30 years, started a huge franchise with its immense popularity, and kick-started all the gore films that our entire community here was FOUNDED on. To deny its greatness is to taunt a hurricane with your naked ass.Cheers,Ryan
