If you look closely, the smaller tiger on the right has a nice snarl across its face. This is because, mere seconds before i got the shot, the white tiger walked up to him and straight up bitchslapped him soo hard that he knocked the smaller tiger over....and...the large alligator in the first set of pics is named Chuckie. Chuckie was caught and taken to the zoo back in 1989. The reason for this is because he was harrassing visitors to the Gulf State Park. For years, Chuckie was the unofficial mascot of the park until he started getting a little to close to the campers. I grew up spending many summers at the park as a cub scout and boy scout and we had many a run in with Chuckie....what Chuckie wanted....Chuckie got...lol...and then there is the story of me having to explain to my niece why the three male ducks kept jumping on the large female duck...but that is for a different time and place....lolthanks again guys...Tommy

the bear was just laying on the ground until I walked up. As soon as he saw me he hopped up and took that pose while i took pictures of him. It reminded me of dogs at the pound trying their best to get adopted...Tommy

Great pictures! Every time I go to our Zoo the animals are hiding or sleeping. Still can't beat a day there except for the smell that is. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Tongue\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" />

simply awesome man...looks like Alabama has a nicer zoo than Nashville, Grassmere has been undergoing matinance for a while now so one second you see giraffes, the next you see construction lol
