    [attachment=27284:100_1563.jpg]I have looked at different pictures,masks,and movie scene's of it and it changes from a grey,white,brown, or tan color.Does anyone know? Thanks,TomHere is a Pete Mander pull he sent me to paint and this is what color I went with.

Thanks,TomHere is a Pete Mander pull he sent me to paint and this is what color I went with.<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndya it's real hard to tell sometimes, lighting is my enemy too =) looks real good though, it might just be that the tan top color needs to be a lighter color, then get some shading going with different browns. that might help bring up the contrast from the dark colors onderneath. here is a pick of a hero they used on screen that i found. ..... top main color was problably transparent, mabye some nicotine, pastelish yellows added to an offwhite.....and that transparency will problably make that purpleish/grey pop out that you see.then mabye for all the detailing try different brown/tans/carmels for the shading and dryer looking parts, and purples, browns and greys and the red/browns to hit the rotted looking areas. i found hand brushing all the top little details like rot areas etc look more deep and natural.lol....hope that helped some. mabye this can get ya in the direction your looking for. play around and mix em up... id like to see how it turns out!!goodluck~jonnyclickable<a href=\"http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p459/JonnyLuck/tcm2003leatherface.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img src=\"http://i347.photobucket.com/albums/p459/JonnyLuck/th_tcm2003leatherface.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /></a>

    Thanks Jonny!I ordered a TOMMY mask from darkwolf and it is a blank so I'm gonna try something different then the mask you see. I like how it turned out,being my first mask that I painted.Later,Tom

    np, glad that helped some tom.ive been playing around with colors for a leatherface too so....lolas a base, you could try red/brown colors like red oxide/ burnt sienna, then you can tint them dwon with brown to get rid of some of the orange hue. so im thinking when a transparent yellowish top color goes over that kind of base you can get that weird purpleish/grey/brown color showing through that you see.cant wait to see what you come up with!later
