I cannot believe prices everybody is selling their masks at!!!...I mean 4-$600 for a piece of rubber? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/verymad.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":verymad:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"verymad.gif\" /> I even saw a Samhain on ebay for like 250.00 friggin' bucks!!!.I find it completely hilarious as well that people post a mask and then they are like"I am asking only 600.00 and I won't take anything less"...do people really think with the economy the way it is that people have dough like that for an item that just sits around and rots? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"<_<\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dry.gif\" /> I don't want to name names but price gouging on masks is the last thing NIGHTOWL needs.True there was a time when I could afford 2 Hertein's at one time and like 7 NMM 78's..BOY WAS I STUPID!!!.Now those are the masks I can imagine selling for 1000.00 or more...but not an Evilution,NMM 78 RETURNS,etc etc etc..It's still way to soon for those masks to be going up by 400.00 bucks.Am I alone on this or what?J

I can't ever see myself spending that much on a prop that dosen't do ANYTHING but sit in the corner.Even if i could afford $5k it's still stupid and very high priced!

jonl is right all they do is sit in the corner. I agree that masks make your room look better and cooler but the masks you get at Wal Mart for 8 bucks are just as cool. And I think the cheaper masks are more special then the 600 doller masks.

Apparently part of the price of Terry's COA sig masks are the signature/COA. Well then don't give me a COA, hehe, I could care less for one so don't charge me so much. And I got a Warlock from him a while ago and never received my COA....

Some things look very nice that are over $150 but that is why I will never buy one over $150. Thats why I go with SSN for hockey masks and DSS for Jason masks and for those who are looking for myers go to jack in the box masks they sell complete masks now under $100. As soon as I get stuff to make masks I'm going to sell masks between $50 and $75.

$400 or more is just crazy to spend on a myers mask IMO, I would rather spend that much on another high end mask or something else.

This is one of those subjects wheres there's no correct answer.People can charge what they like for there work and I'm sure that if people feel it is not worth that then they wont sell many and so that seller will eventually have to be more reasonable with the prices they charge or be short on sales. On the other hand if more than enough people are happy to spend money of rubber then why would the seller drop there prices ?I don't make big money on my stuff, I think as long as I'm covering all my costs of the production and my time making it then I'm ok.I guess if your making something that a lot of people will want and your only going to do a limited run then yes you can charge more.As a maker the thing I don't like seeing in the hobby is when collectors are making more money than the artists for doing nothing <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" />. I think thats where this hobby is maybe going wrong and pushing up the pricesA good example is the butterfingers <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":whistling:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whistling.gif\" /> how many people would have been throwing money at Barry if he was charging $300 -$500 for a mask ????? but because they became a wanted collectable people where happy to pay that kind of money to someone who had not made the mask or put the work into sculpting it for months and making molds and painting it, all they had to do was put it in a box and ship it <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" /> so my question would beWhy shouldn't Barry then sell the new run of masks for around $400 + or more if people where happy to pay that to someone who had not made the mask ?
