update with Rivet and blade slot. In order to get a smooth look i have to coat the piece to bring out all the little dings and dents. Then is file and smooth them out.. Add the slot and rivet holes.

you should be keeping all this research a secret mate <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"biggrin.gif\" /> There will be other glove makers using your research and hardwork to their advantage No offence to other glove builders here but we all know there are things that all of you would not share with your competition that makes your gloves unique in one way or another <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/teehee.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":teehee:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"teehee.gif\" /> Anders Erikson had been up the top for his vs gloves since the film was released and has only make slight changes to his since then and thats cost effective things like the leather glove quality, surley if he had seen this detail in the originals he would have put it into his own glove builds by now ? Just trying to say that some things that you develop as a glove maker you should maybe keep to yourself as these kind of details can make the difference between someone buying a glove from you or another.I say this because ( It's been said before ) glove makers question why people will only pay X amount for a glove but pay more for a mask when there can be so much more work and hours put into researching and producing a high quality glove , and when you have these kind of screen accurate details that I have not seen in another glove makers work , these are the kind of things that mean you can ask for a higher price than a glove maker who makes the same glove who does not use the same techniques and screen used details as you.why would someone pay X amount for a glove if you have a more accurate glove for that little bit more , that makes if worth it to the high end collector ? This applies to all glove makers , You all want to stand out for your work don't you ? if not you would be producing generic designs and selling them on ebay for a quick buck <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"confused.gif\" />

When I first came onto the glove-making scene, I was new to these forums and everything related to it. I didn't know about proper etiquette when it comes to creating things like this. I thought it was a large group of fans who shared anything and everything to make everyone happy. As time went on, I discovered that there are "rules' to this hobby and have since learned to discipline my own behavior. I quit asking other glove makers for their trade secrets, etc. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" /> So, after spending countless hours and getting into debt beyond my wildest nightmares, I finally developed a glove that I was very happy with and had features that are only available on my gloves. It's always a good idea to keep your own self-made techniques to yourself unless you don't really care if they're secret or not. Good work though!

Thanks for the info but to be fair i have been trying to nail this design for about 4 years. You have to really think outside the box to get it rite. No glove builder new to the scene will be able to nail this. As far as Anders well he had photos better than what i was working with and am still currently working with..He is happy with his design and thats his choice. Im not going into detail about how its constructed. And well im confident that my secret is safe.. This is no different than me posting a picture of a completed glove
