Seen it yesterday.............I wasn't thrilled.Not that I'm a racist............I just don't want them re-tooling EVERY hero on the block. There are plenty of black superheroes. Would you wanna make a Luke Cage: Hero for Hire movie with a white guy playing Luke Cage? Bryan Hitch drew that to be filled by Sam Jackson. If they want to use Peter Parker, a self conscious shy nerd, and make him black, why not design a whole new super hero with those traits instead? Peter Parker is a character... You wouldn't make a white Blade would you? No, you'd just make a new vampire slayer who is white and still badass.

Well in the 89 Batman , Billy Dee played a White character and I haven't heard much complaint about that . And I think Will Smith did a great job in Hancock ( not sure if you'd label that as superhero ) but still . But whatever Hollywood wants to do is up to them as they don't listen to anyone else for that matter .
