Forgive me if this was talked about before, but did anyone catch the episode of Oddities last night? I think it's on the Discovery Channel. I turned this on around 9:30PM EST before Face Off came on and this was the episode about a guy looking for a real human skeleton. The went to this Med School at first and they only had a partial skeleton. Then they head to this guys house (don't remember if they gave his name) to check his out. Well once they got to the basement.. he had one of the nicest collections I've seen on TV! WOW! He had a few display cases of skulls, etc.. but then they panned to his wall! A VERY nice copy of Arturo's Yeti! Howard's Jack! A Nightmare Demon! A Re-Animator! A LOT of nice masks! Awesome to see his collection.. and to have someone represent!
They really didn't discuss his mask collection however.. which sucked. The skeleton he had was nice and came in it's own coffin! He ended up selling it for around $2900 for both the skeleton and casket. The guys turned around and sold the skeleton to the guy who was looking for $3k and kept the coffin.
Anyway.. I figured with that collection.. that guy HAS to be here on the boards somewhere... Does anyone know anything about him? Anyone seen that particular show? I hit the info button and the original air date was 12/10 I think..
It's a cool show and I'll start to DVR all the show and check it out!
Here's a link to my local "Oddities" shop.. called The American Dime Museum. It's gone now.. but what a riot to visit!!
