yeah I heard appliance white, ripped off burns, bigger eyes, and black paint in the hair. Little if any shading. The mask makers put the shading under the nose, top lip, eye corners, etc. To simulate the shadows on the mask that we\'re all used to seeing. Believe me alot of the mask make it look natural, but you really notice if there\'s no shading. Think how \'white\' the CS and DP Myers masks look.

Thank you for answering my questions WilliamAbuJannah. I bet the screen used mask looked a little different back then compared to the repro Myers masks today do to the shading and things.

ehh, yes and no. In some instances I think the replicas nowadays, particularly the CGP and NIGHTOWL ones are better then the screen ones. Thicker casting (if requested) better hairing and paint work. They\'re still recast off a 75 Kirk, so it\'s basically the same mask. It all comes down to lighting, shadows, and the size of the head thats in the mask to recreate an exact \'look\' from a scene.

oh yeah, the H2 screen mask was more heavily weathered, and it does have dark smudges all over the nostrils/under the nose etc. And the lips do look like they\'re shaded.

But if you watch H1 with an anal obsessiveness, you can see that the mask gets a little dirtier through the course of the movie. So I imagine by the time they made H2 they only added a little bit more weathering to make the mask dirtier. Alot of the black paint in the hair had worn off by then, which is why the H2 mask looks like it has reddish/brown hair, even though it\'s the same mask.

Some of that worn off paint could have also contributed to the black smudges on the mask. I read Debra Hill kept the mask under her bed inbetween films, so who knows?

Now i am pretty sure that they had a new mask for halloween 2 because over time the originals condition really deteriorated and nick castle\'s head was a completely different shape than dick warlocks. the mask in halloween was alot wider too. i just cant imagine them trying to use the same mask for two completely different people, but whatever. u guys probably spend most of ur free time on finding all this stuff out.

It was the same mask. Nick Castles head is long and thin, Dick Warlocks head is fat and wide.

You\'re absolutely correct! Smile Another reason it may look diffrent is because of the "dirtyness" of it. It actually wasn\'t made to look like that on purpose. They kept it in such poor condition during the first and second film, and became like that.
