Quote:I knew it!! Be careful about that last part, about the Part 5 mask. You\'ve got some Brains around here that \'know it\' man. Just watch your back tonight.

I have it on David Miller\'s authority that this was the case with the hockey masks he made for ANB.

Months ago, he offered to have his people make me a new ANB hockey mask replica because the first one they sent me wasn\'t very good. I said I wanted the new mask to be screen-accurate. He asked me to clarify my request because the term screen-accurate can mean both "as it appeared on screen" or "as it was constructed for the film." I asked him to explain the difference in terms of the hockey masks he produced for Friday the 13th: A New Begining. The answer he gave me was, give or take, what I\'ve already said.

Perhaps, in the case of the original Halloween, Mike is correct:

It was a small, independent picture with a faceless cast; nobody really cared what color Michael Myers\' clothes were. But, the minute a subtantial profit was made on the film, you can believe the coveralls in the second film were picked VERY specifically for there repsective filmic properties.

But, Mike, if you explain why you think the color of the coveralls for Halloween 2 and Friday the 13th:A New Beginning was an arbitrary decision [which they most certainly were NOT], than perhaps it would be easier for me to consider your opinion. Otherwise, you\'re probably just being stubborn.

Well, even in the case of Halloween, I think you\'re incorrect. I mean, DEAN CUNDEY was the director of photography. His resume is ridiculously impressive, as is his talent for cinematography. He would not leave something as important as a main character\'s cotume to chance. I\'m sure he spoke with Carpenter or Hill about how his approach would affect the final image, including the color palette of the characters, their costumes, and the setting. There\'s a reason that film was critically acclaimed, while others that were very similar were panned: the quality of the vision and the quality of the craftsman.

ALSO, watch the entire film of ANB (or Halloween 1 or 2, for that matter). In context of the respective photography styles, it\'s clear that the coveralls were INTENDED to come off as blue. Just because most of us have seen these movies too many times, and have desensitized ourselves to the experience doesn\'t mean that this was not the case.

Yes. Excellent deduction, Mike. The reasoning is so thorough. C\'mon, you probably wouldn\'t know that films utilized color palettes if I hadn\'t explained it earlier.
