Sure this is a decent method. However, it seems that some collectors are not interested in an item unless others show interest by placing a bid. I\'m actually guilty of this myself. For instance, say I see a Frankenstein mask on eBay but I know I don\'t really have to get it... but as soon as I see that there are a couple of bids on it, I may just place a bid for the fun of the game to outbid the other guys. I also see that the mask is appealing to other collectors out there. The best way to go about an auction is to set your highest bid in a snipe or manually snipe at the last 20 seconds of an auction. This way your chances are higher of actually winning the item. Also... if you have to ask yourself do I really want this mask multiple times, its best not to bid b/c you\'ll find yourself selling it within no time. Which I am also guilty of on multiple occassions.
