LOL!! Hell yeah Steve, that would terrify everyone!!!
I\'d say a good big, loud chainsaw would really add to the atmosphere, nothing much like that sound bearing down on you to make you fill your shorts! If you\'re doing a multi room haunt, have you\'re chainsaw fire in the second to last room, just as your guests are a few rooms away, let them know it\'s coming. Then find a dark corner, or even put up a blind, or hidden door just after the room your first fired the saw. Your guests will be on edge going into the room, expecting the saw, when it dosen\'t come they figure it was only a sound effect making them a bit more at ease. As they leave the room come out behind them quietly and fire the saw, improvise a Bubba saw dance and chase them out of the haunt! It would be a pretty cool touch to add a metal, or even wood sliding door at the end, as they run out stop and slam the door shut.
Strobe lights are great, they disorient and confuse your guests, this can set up some pretty good scares. Fog machines are also great to have, you could set up a small room with a few foggers making it impossible to see, hang a whole bunch of wet twine or string from the roof, so it\'s something that brushes against your face and skin and feels wierd.
