The e-mails were spoofs....someone trying to get me to give my account info and passwords.
Obviously you already filed with paypal so apparently yours is legit...I guess it just sounded off alarm bells for me because the spoof email I lways get freaks the bejesus out of me too. It specifically said, "limited account access" and reported that someone had spent $400 of my money. But it never really happened.

I get those emails all the time and log into my account to and check and it turns out to be fake.
