I\'m afraid I must bow out of this thread, now. It boggles my mind (and works me up to know end) to think that people actually feel the original movie is lessened or cheapened by bad sequels and/or remakes. With that theory, Halloween has been cheapened since Halloween 3 and after. If you want to say the series as a whole is hurt by such a film, then I can understand that line of reasoning. But to say the original itself is cheapened blows my mind. But I\'m afraid my blood pressure continues to jump when I post in this thread, LOL, so I need to be moving along.
My parting words of wisdom to those with an open mind is to give this film a chance. If you don\'t like it, then that\'s fine - but don\'t hold it against John Carpenter or his great movie, which have done nothing to earn such resentment. :geek:
