In response to the argument that the Butterfingerz is a better likeness to Robert I would have to agree. The BF was sculpted using Rob's lifecast and the lifecast of Rob in part 4 make-up for reference and measurements. The result is a great likeness but a very small mask. The silicone Fred was sculpted on a specially designed sculpting bust that Russ designed himself so the mask would fit the general public. When you sculpture on a bust like that you are somewhat limited by the features of the bust's likeness and obviously it will not have Rob's features. The silicone mask is designed to take on the features of whoever has it on. Some who wear it look exactly like Englund in the make-up but on others it doesn't. As for accuracy in regards to the sculpture of the make-up, neither mask is even close to being dead on accurate to the film make-up. I have extensive reference on all of the different Freddy make-ups and neither mask matches up dead on to any of them. When I sculpture a Freddy mask I always put in the key details that make it obvious that it is supposed to be Fred, but the rest of the sculpture I just wing it and make it as intricately detailed as I can. I want the back of the head to be as ultra detailed as the front. This is not accurate at all to the films because the back of the head was pretty void of details because they didn't plan on showing the back of his head on camera so why put in the sculpting hours. At any rate I think that both are great masks but they are not really comparable in that one is meant more as a static prop head and the other was designed specifically to look and move like the wearer is in film quality prosthetics.
