In it he stated that "In our mind, he is Leatherface. With those two icons, you can’t mix them. I don’t see Andrew Bryniarski playing Jason.". Now Andrew "Leatherface" Bryniarski himself responed to this statement on his official board. Here are a few snippets from the post: Today I read that I will not be playing Jason in the new Friday the 13th movie. Well I just spoke to them [Platinum Dunes] yesterday for the first time and I said my piece and threw my hat into the ring. I would not be surprised if I do play Jason in the movie. I want to play Jason in the film and it is being considered as of yesterday. The Platinum Dunes team and I work very well together and continue to work together. While admittedly it is early for any of us to make a decision completely, I assure you all, I am in the mix and at the front of the pack.
