As others have noted, it is indeed the hero glove in that shot. The stunts (e.g. "this is god") did not have a fully connected armature, blades were very different, etc. I don't have them on hand but on the topshelf/"kruegear" forums there was once many pictures posted comparing the solder spills and other marks on the gloves. On a sidenote, one thing about the hero that not too many people notice is that the rivet at the bottom of the backplate was not (most of the time at least) actually connected to the leather glove. This can be seen in a number of scenes in addition to this one, the backplate regularly 'flips up' and away from the leather glove.
