It's useful to have a hair dryer or heat gun to very gently warm the surface of the clay prior to adding texture. Don't heat it too much, or it will just smear.Personally, I didn't like using the small texture stamps I got from MM because it was difficult to get a nice pattern without looking stamped. The edges of the stamps can leave hard lines, so it's best to wrap it around your finger and roll the stamp on.The best way is using ball tools and carefully adding pores by hand... but takes forever.
