I don't know how much they were sharpened and dulled and I can't for the life of me remember where I read this but, I remember reading somewhere the sharpening/dulling in fact did change the size and shape of the blades. To what extent I don't know. I'm not sure if your going for how the glove looked when it was bulit...or how it eventually ended up looking after filming<i>(broken index blade, bent blades etc.)</i>.Btw, I love the coloring <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /><!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndYes, they did sharpen and dull them down but that really wouldn't drastically change the actual length of of the blades. It would mostly affect the thickness of them. Even Robert Englund was asked once about what he thought of replicas that he's seen and he says the gloves he's seen have longer blades. I hope to build a prototype soon so I can show you all what it may look like. Plus, if you've noticed, on a TON of replicas of the Part 1 glove, the backplate sits way too far down on the back of the hand and renders the ball and tape wrist useless. The Numero Uno is a perfect example of this. It's because all the armature is simply too big. Also, the original leather glove is a medium sized glove. If I use a medium glove with my armature, the backplate will interfere with the function of the pull string usually. That means the parts are sitting too far down on the back of the hand. Plus, I also think that the original leather glove was pretty unique because it seems to have a very short wrist that doesn't extend much past his wrist. Hard to explain what I mean but most gloves, even mediums now, cover up more of the wrist than the actual glove did. Oh well... you'll all see what I mean when I built my prototype.
