Shark fans:http://www.jawshark.com/great_white_recorded_sizes.htmlI didn't want to hotlink their images, but basically there's some pics of caught, and verified, sharks in the 20+ foot range.I also ran into a reference of a 36 foot gw shark beached in California in the late 1960's, sourced to the NZ Herald, but I can't find anything about it except for one comment, so I'm kinda' assuming it's crap. Though there IS mention of a beached whale that long around that time.Regarding the shark in the pics though (there's two pics in case anyone missed the second one), supposedly this happens a lot on these buoys, the reason this one made headlines was because the government is under fire for their shark net barricades used around some of the public beaches because of "safe" animals (ie- whales and suchlike) being caught up and dying in them. So this one got a lot of press to kinda' say "SEE?! we need those things to keep out the monstrous sharks!"
