SPOILERSIn my opionion, this is the best NOES since 1984 and the best PD remake so far. Jackie was scary as hell and I LOVED his voice, especially his creepy laugh and the way he sounds when he gets pissed and yells in a deep voice. Englund never seemed really pissed off like that. Freddy is definitely way more evil than he's ever been. I was really pissed off when I found out that they turned him into a molester because I thought there was no possible way that it would be as frightening as a child murderer. I was so against this that I protested it all over the internet for months. I was wrong.First, the molestation stuff really helped me to feel for the characters and actually care for them...more so than in the original movie. Especially when nancy sees what Freddy did to her in the photographs. I thought her acting was very strong and I can't believe some people are saying that they didn't care about her. I definitely did. She's not supposed to be the strong-willed Nancy of the original. This Nancy is very sad and damaged on a subconscious level from what was done to her as a kid. Also, the workbench and "cave" underneath the preschool were SO disturbing and frightening. It also seemed very plausible and a reminder of how screwed up this world is. When the parents find the claw marks on nancy, I couldn't believe it. That was so messed up. What Freddy did to the kids really was more evil than killling them.
