I watched it last night and enjoyed it. I thought there was a lot of nice artistic imagery. I was pretty impressed by the final moment of the film, it was very well done. A lot of the visuals in the film were fantastic, and as much as people aren't digging the new look of Freddy, I thought it was absolutely great in action. If your going in expecting the original, your not going to get it. If you go in with an open mind, you'll come out happy.I really enjoyed the first hour of the movie, but as Platinum Dunes tends to do, they started going so far up their a$ses with the plot and it started becoming too much. I loved Haley as Freddy, and I loved him unburnt. The kills were decent, and the costume was great. I like Rooney Mara, no complaints with the teen cast. Some of the editing was very choppy at parts though. The pacing of the film was a little too fast, going into the film as soon as it starts... But the score was nice, and I liked the classic elements incorporated into it. I loved the cinemetography except when PD uses that certain style where there are a lot of yellows and greens.SPOILERS: The plot changes they made were nothing to get upset about, but I just didn't enjoy the movie from the point where they get in the car crash onward. There were some great clips in that time, but for the most part I didn't enjoy them ending it at the pre-school and dwelling into the past of Freddy. I loved some of the kills, and Jackie Earl Haley's acting was great....up until the last 20 minutes or so where they started throwing him stupid one-liners from older ANOES films.... I ABSOLUTELY HATED Freddy's death.... They couldn't stay elegant, they had to slice his f*cking hand off and then slit his throat, WITH A PAPER CUTTER??? Such a PLATINUM DUNES move.... come on guys.... Especially ending with the line "Your in my world now beeeoootch!".... I thought remaking these films they would LEARN from the crappy one-liners... It's equivalent (well, maybe not as bad) as their Friday one-liner "Say hello to Mommy for me...In hell!".Still, overall I thouroghly enjoyed the movie. As I said, some great imagery, Jackie Earl Haley was nice, no complaints on the make-up, and it had the dark element ANOES has been lacking. If you are questioning seeing the movie, don't. Go see it, get your own opinion. You can't always trust our opinions, voice your own. I for one enjoyed it for what it was, a reboot.-Jon
