Examined the mask again.
I was totally wrong about how the flap showing the sig was stiched on the wrong way intentionally.
It was just stuck to the cheek from age and I managed to pull it off.
It seems the previous owner before the seller tried to tape the flap back on to the mask. The tape is still there. I placed the flap back were it originally was.

I've also found that the mask, though folded, is not stuck together.
The fold on the forehead and neck piece which is going inward as seen in the pic is keeping the mask from unfolding. The main facial area is still soft.
