absolute best horror movie ever...Night of the Living Dead (best movie period)
scariest film for it\'s time...Nosferatu
my favorite silent film...Phantom of the Opera (Chaney Sr.)
best horror series...toss up between Nightmare, F13, and Hellraiser for me
best John Carpenter movie...toss up between the Thing, the Fog, and H2 and H3
best black & white horror films...anything Universal (highly reccommended)
best over the top gorey movie...Dead Alive (fantastic) or the first 2 Evil Deads
best F13...pt 2,3,4
best Nightmare...pt 1,3,4
wierdest horror film...Lair of the White Worm
most disgusting concept...SLUGS, cabin fever
Honorable Mention: All TCM movies, The Shining, Creepshow, the Funhouse, the Burning (low budget, one of Savini\'s first movies doing special effects make-up), All Romero movies or remakes of Romero movies, 28 Days Later, Wrong Turn, any Vincent Price movie, any Lucio Fulci or Dario Argento movies, Phantoms (reminded me alot of Silent Hill), The Brood, any Japanese horror films you can get your hands on...that\'s all I can think of right now...
I\'m a huge fan of the old black and white horror films, silent films, foreign horror films (Japan is about the only country putting out truly "scary" movies right now...) and of course I love the nightmare series, F13, Hellraiser, and the first 2 Halloween movies, and pretty much any zombie movie you can think of.
