well, in 5th grade I actually had to go to a year of counseling cuz of the stuff I was drawing. But I wasn\'t arrested. And after a year the lady told my mom that I wasn\'t nuts, I just liked horror movies and had waaaaaaayyy too active an imagination.
I could have told her that.
I\'m 28 now and ma will still bitch every once in a while about what a waste of money that was. It was the 80\'s though, and if the school recommended your kid get help, the parents would listen.
Nowadays parents are a little more skeptical of the school system, which is a good thing. I could tell you horror stories of the school system here where I live. Good smart kids being put into special ed programs because the school got like 25,000. per student enrolled in the sped classes. So the school would almost grab kids at random and throw them in the program.
You know what happens when you put a bright kid in a room full of speds? He gets bored, then he gets angry, eventually he gets violent. Once you \'snap\', that\'s it, you\'re stuck in that program forever.
The only reason I found out about all this stuff is cuz my Grandfather was friends with 2 people that were high up in the state education board or whatever. Underneath the superintendent and all that.
and yeah, just in case you\'re wondering, it happened to me cuz of the pics I drew in 5th grade. By 6th grade I got pretty tired of the drooling monkeys surrounding me and the zero challenge of the work. C\'mon, it was practically coloring. So yeah, I snapped and fucked some people up and never got out of the program again. Once you show extreme violence, you\'re \'special\'
so if you feel like it, laugh it up. But it\'s the truth, the montgomery county school system robbed my education so they\'d get loot every year for having another head in the program. And by the time we figured out what was going on, (my grandfathers friends) I was already in 11th grade, was playing music everynight, and was so trashed during the day I really didn\'t care where I was.
So yeah, it\'s actually amazing just how drawing some gory pics can change everything. Actually looking back on it, I think I would have just prefered the arrest.
