Well I would have used a blow torch if I was going for a fully melted, smooth part 4, but I wanted to go further than that with it. I wanted to make an insanely weathered glove that slightly resembled the part 4 style. The real look that I was trying to achieve, was what I thought in my own mind what the glove would look like had the same one survived through the 6 nightmare movies. It worried me about what you said about the solder, so I rubbed and picked at the solder on each finger and the backplate, but nothing chipped off. While soldering, I messed with the solder on the glove so much that I guess it heated both metals and bonded very well, because that stuff is really on there. Thanks for the tips and comments, guys, it\'s really appreciated, and any more is greatly welcomed.
