    Well....I never thought of it since I don\'t wear any of my masks.....
    but a good topic indeed.
    Back in my days, we wore balaclavas.
    Essentially, there\'re similar to ski hoods mentioned above.
    They come in many materials for various purposes and climates.
    You can see many firefighters wearing nomex ones.
    They have inexpensive ones of thin cotton (t-shirt thin w/o any wicking properties) that would be ideal for wearing under a mask.

    I\'d try eBay...search: balaclava
