Speaking from an IT guy's perspective, USB drives are cheap! You can get a 2GB drive for $8.25 with free shipping from Newegg, an extremely reputable site...I've used it easily over 100 times.<a href=\"http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148153\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820148153</a>Or you can bump it up a few notches and pick up an 8gb drive for $19.99...also with free shipping.<a href=\"http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220263\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820220263</a>Both get 5 eggs (their review system) and are made by well known manufacturers. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"B)\" border=\"0\" alt=\"cool.gif\" />

30 GB should suffice. In any case, you could always upgrade your hard drive and install in a new one.

Awesome, Tommy! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" />I still wear the part 7 that you sent me a couple years ago with absolute pride and I tell tales of a gentle giant named Tommy when people ask where I got it. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sleep.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"-_-\" border=\"0\" alt=\"sleep.gif\" /> How are you and the lovely Mrs doing? Are PS3s restricted to a certain kind of hard drive or are they just regular ol' computer hard drives? I should do some research...Here's a video on upgrading a PS3 hard drive: <a href=\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B1mQ21XXLE\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-B1mQ21XXLE</a>With a quick look at the video, it looks just like a regular 2.5" laptop hard drive to me.

    Yep...it seems that the PS3 supports both laptop SATA 1.5gb/s and 3.0gb/s drives. Here's a good example of a sweet 320GB drive for a great price.Western Digital Scorpio WD3200BEVT 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Notebook Hard Drive - OEM - $74.99 with free shipping!<a href=\"http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136197\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136197</a>

The OS(s) on the Ps3 and the XBOX360 are enormous. There was also a bit of extra "content" on the 360 when I got mine (i.e. - demos, videos, music). I deleted all that shit. Doesn't the Ps3 come with some extra poo that can be deleted?

well, i just read on several articles that the OS on the ps3 is not installed on the hard drive, therefore my previous statement is incorrect. This is the major reason why people say it is so easy to upgrade your hard drive, since you do not have to worry about re installing an OS everytime you replace it. My ps3 came with two demos on it which i erased post haste....take care,Tommy

got another annoying questions for you guys, haha...please forgive meso I got mlb 08 for my ps3 the other day, and whenever I try to play it, it will get to the home menu and say "press start", once I do that, it goes to another screen and freezesI took my ps3 and mlb game to my uncles place today and tried it at his house, it works perfectly and loads fine.....but then I get home, plug it back up and it does the same thing it did before and freezes at the menu screenanyone have any idea whats up? could my ps3 just be defective or somethin? It doesnt work at my house, but Im sure if I took it back to my uncles for some reason it would load just fine

try putting a few other games in first and see if it does the same thing. It if does indeed do the same thing, then yes, your ps3 has gone defective....If it doesnt, then i have no idea what is going on...take care,Tommy
