no cameras won't kill the event, its also a 30th anniversary convention, with all the jasons, betsy, and a slew of the rest of the cast going to be there, its a whole friday the 13th weekend, no cameras for this one exhibit won't kill anythingits his collection, he can do whatever he wants

It is most likely just no cameras into the exhibit , not the whole convention. Most travelling exhibits, like bodies, and others, do not let cameras in. It is not uncommon for modern exhibits to disallow it. All the art exhibits at the Warhol museum by me, the Vader helmet exhibit, giant babies, etc, did not allow cameras, and neither does the museum itself.

Jigsaw's right on the money.. As for the cameras, I'm cool with that for two reasons.. #1- I'm used to it, most museums don't permit cameras unless the painted items/ paper/canvas goods are covered in UV protectants. UV light fades paint jobs.. Flashes are worse because of how bright they are. If this stuff was in a museum with flashes going off all day, we'd only get to see blanks. #2- Hopefully, they'll do what normally happens with travelling exhibits, in terms of making glossies availible, they'd likely be better than any pics I'd be able to take anyway. I suspect pics will surface regardless, but at least they won't likely reveal "tells" from the back of the masks.Though at this point, I'm surpised the backs of the masks haven't been specially marked, once and for all, to make their connection to the paperwork permanent. In which case, copies could float around all day long and it wouldn't be a problem because only one has that mark/chip or whatever.

i'm sure there's just no cameras in the museum part of the event but you can still take your pic with the celebs . and i've heard from a secret scorce that the inside of some Hockey Mask at least i know for sure the part 6 has a huge smiley face in red . hence the meaning of the guy he ripped his arm off from . mike,

Hey guys,I`m really excited about you liking the idea of bringing the museum to you via an exhibition. To answer a few questions, having these items in my possession brings not only fun and proudness but also brings a lot of liability to the owner. This means, to care for the items properly and acting in the right field among the screen used prop collectors community.Providing detail pictures or passing secret tells off of certain props means that I would help to sell a possible fake into the collectors market as an original prop. And believe me, this is nothing new. Please do accept and admit this simple rule of not talking pictures during the exhibition as part of the appreciation for the immense work John and I do to bring these pieces to you.The rest of the event is PICTURES TAKING ALLOWED of course!See this exhibit as a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand eye in eye with THE items from our favourite films and simply enjoy the moment without flashing around in there with your cams.I think it is fair enough that I offer good pics of the items on my online site, that you can visit anytime you want to see the props and costumes again.Deadguy71, the thing with the glossy pictures (post card sized) has already been in our discussiom. And as it looks for now, we will offer such photos at the show. You can then have them autographed or simply blanc to collect. I was planning to do a nice exhibition for some time now and I think this event is the perfect chance to go for it. John and I are working on some good ideas in regards to realize this exhibition with some of my best pieces or perhaps the entire collection with high quality displays and looking forward to provide you with fresh updates. So stay tuned, friends.Mario<img src=\"http://i28.tinypic.com/2dtrlfl.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />
