Everyone has there own vision on what the ultimate freddy should be. I really think this is going to be a great remake. Only time will tell.

I dunno, as much as I've now given up on the idea of anyone in Hollywood ever making a decent horror remake (The Omen not withstanding) I still can't help but have an optimistic mind-set.The first thing I thought of when seeing the first two pics of Fred in his striped polo shirt was continuity of the character.Fred obviously digs striped shirts. Seeing him in this striped polo shirt gives credence to him eventually being seen in a striped red and green sweater. Although it was a detail not needed it seems they are trying really hard to think of every aspect, every detail, in making a totally believable, realistic and scary Freddy character. And I like the fedora as well. I'm a fan of the low profile brim not really seen since the first film and it not quite fitting his head just makes him look all the more of the odd-ball person he would realistically be in society. To him and his twisted views and feelings in life made him pick out that size hat and although it sits a bit too high atop his head because it's not quite large enough, it still looked just fine to Freddy himself. Another brilliant little detail well thought out. IF that's what they have been doing here and I am correct in my assumptions of them thinking of all these detailed facets of Freddy's persona. If so it looks hopeful that this, indeed, may very well turn out to be a totally done-right Freddy film.Of course if they feel they need to stick in too much T & A or give Freddy any Jay Leno one-liners like he had from part 3 on, it will ruin it completely for me and I walk. But . . . I have hope.I can hope.
