No election is free from the political propaganda and BS. Obama is my personal choice. My main reason for choosing him is because what he's promising stands the biggest chance of happening due to the majority the dems may have in Congress. And I'm hoping that his presidency sees us getting out of this economic downturn.

That doesn't apply to my list because it doesn't sound as if you honestly think McCain is better. I'm not saying Obama is the messiah of the USA or anything, but he's undoubtedly a better candidate and leader than McCain, that is unless you fall into one of the groups that I listed.Let's assume the following were true of Obama:Born in a foreign nationGraduated near the bottom of his classDivorced his first wife because she became handicappedProne to fits of rage and ill-tempermentImagine if it were Obama, not McCain who those statements were true of. The media (especially fox) would have a field day.Look, leadership counts. Obama is a very intelligent person, and you can tell he is a deep thinker. McCain is of average intelligence and is a blind patriot. Let's not forget the saying, "Pride comes before the fall." Well after 9/11 all you see is "proud to be american" sentiment everywhere while our nation is going absolutely bankrupt. McCain offers no meaningful changes from Bush's economic and foreign policies. That is why it's simply foolish to support McCain in my humble opinion. At least Obama offers a sense of hope, even if he does absolutely nothing, he'll be a far better president than Dubya Bush.

I love how politics brings this country together...I know <i>I</i> started this but it was really meant to just be something to laugh at for Obama <i>and</i> McCain fans. As far as the race goes, all that matters to me is who will run this country better. No one is perfect and we all have faults. Even the candidates so get over that.
