Congrats man! Looks like a nice pad! My wife and i bought our first house a little over a year and a half ago and it\'s been great. Our\'s was much older than yours so we have been doing some extensive remodeling ourselves...knocking out walls, ripping up floors, tearing out cabinets, etc...all stuff we didn\'t have to do necessarily, but to get the look we wanted, we had to. It\'s a lot of work but quite rewarding. It looks like yours doesn\'t need any work which is great. It\'s a good feelign to own something. We were sick of paying rent...and not being able to modify our space. teh best part about moving in was actually putting some color on the walls! Big Grin

Anyway, congrats and good luck with it all!

Very very nice place there Mike! I cannot wait to buy a house of my own... of course I have other priorities to get out of the way first, but when that day comes I\'ll be ecstatic! I want to do a mask room/home theater/arcade and a basement is a must for me. Here\'s my bud\'s theater and display room... check it out! I\'m so jealous and he\'s my inspiration.

I hear ya man! I used to hate cutting grass as a kid. But once I get my own crib and a riding lawnmower.... IT\'S ON! Once a week. Amazing how your thoughts change when you\'re the owner of something.

Oh and where do you live? A house like that here in Atlanta would run around 270k or so.

We\'re in the panhandle of FL...we\'re very fortunate to only (I use that term loosely) have paid $209K for it. The market is down at the moment, but will take a steady climb starting this month. Funny about Atlanta, because this house would be well under $200K in PA.

Great deal on that home. Yea, the market is down right now... but hell its up like 100% from 5 years ago. Wish I could have afforded something then, but I was starting college lol. I really need to get into real estate myself! That\'s where its at. You work hard for a short period of time, then just sit back and let the house sell itself.
